Dear friends,
At the start of 2026, all members of the Board join me in wishing you a very happy new year, excellent health, and above all, lot’s of success in your practice.
We hope you’ve been able to practice throughout the year, in one of our dojos, during the workshops and events we’ve organized or those organized by other federations. There’s no doubt you’ve made progress, the result of your efforts!
We look forward to seeing you again at the various events we organise. Please mark in your diaries the seminar led by Brahim Si Guesmi in March, the one led by Hélène Doué in May, and especially the seminar led by Yoshinobu Irie Shihan, who has kindly accepted our invitation and will be in Brussels for a three-day seminar from 1st to 3rd May. Registration is possible online, as is for the gala dinner which will take place on Saturday evening. Do not hesitate to join us, we are counting on your massive participation.
Other events are organised by other Belgian federations, for example a seminar led by Christian Tissier Shihan in Soumagne in February, another led by Tsuruzo Miyamoto Shihan in Etterbeek in April…Whatever your choice, any opportunity to practice is always interesting, and certainly outside the usual setting of one’s dojo. It is then synonymous with openness, exchange, and takes us out of our comfort zone, with teaching that is sometimes different (in appearance), other partners, … Don’t hesitate, take the plunge, push the door and discover, you can only come out enriched!
Don’t hesitate to join us or contact us with any questions. All new members are welcome, and most dojos offer one or two free trial classes. If you’re new to aikido, or have never had the opportunity to practice it, get in touch with our teachers, visit the dojos, give it a try… and you’ll be hooked! Could this be a good idea for a resolution?
